š Applesauce Collagen Gummies1
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- ½ cup juice or water (for blooming gelatin)
- 3 tbsp unflavored gelatin (use 3 ½ tbsp for firmer texture or 2 ½ tbsp for softer)
- 1ā2 tbsp collagen powder
- 1ā2 tbsp honey (optional and/or adjust if using a flavored collagen or juice)
- ½ tsp cinnamon and/or vanilla (optional)
Instructions:
Bloom gelatin: Sprinkle 3 tbsp gelatin over ½ cup cool juice or water. Let sit for 2ā3 minutes until fully bloomed.
Warm applesauce: In a saucepan over low heat, warm 1 cup applesauce until itās hot but not boiling.
Combine & dissolve: Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm applesauce. Stir continuously until the gelatin is completely dissolved (2ā4 minutes).
Add collagen: Remove from heat and whisk in 1ā2 tbsp collagen powder until dissolved. Collagen blends easily when liquid is warm but not too hot.
Sweeten & flavor: Stir in honey, cinnamon, or vanilla if using. Mix until smooth.
Pour & set: Pour into silicone molds or a parchment-lined dish. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until fully set.
Cut & store: If using a dish, cut into squares. Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
Notes:
- Honey helps keep the gummies softer but too much can prevent them from setting nicely.
This made for a healthy, filling protein snack and would definitely make again! I used a citrus flavored collagen that paired nicely with the applesauce. It was also a good way to use some of the frozen crab applesauce that we picked this summer.

Grace and peace,
